DANIEL FRANKLIN

Daniel Franklin is a multidisciplinary Visual Artist working in both still and moving image, with bases between Norwich and London. He is a graduate of Norwich University of the Arts where he was awarded a first class degree in Film and Moving Image Production. Post university he has gone on to worked on a variety of media based projects within film, TV and music across design based departments.

He has worked across many projects for terrestrial broadcast and major streaming services such as Amazon Plus, Disney+ and Netflix, within the Costume and Hair & Make up departments. Within music Daniel has worked with the likes of Jake Shears and emerging artists Leo Lore, Maya Law, and Freya Roy.

A recurring theme explored in his body of directorial practice is introspective processes depicted through the human physicality. This theme grows as Daniel furthers his discipline in experimental image. With abilities in filmmaking and photography alongside traditional methods in fine art, Daniel’s eye for the aesthetics bleeds into the crux of a story.

Key creatives and points of inspiration for his work are Daniel Askill, Xavier Dolan, Steve McQueen, Brooke DiDonato, Jenny Saville, as well as seeking new points of reference from all mediums and disciplines.
